Bright copper will remain shiny and new for approximately 3-4 years before weathering. Patina finish remains indefinitely via acid wash/heat process. Lacquer may also be omitted for a more immediate weathered look.

This is my second order of a large Martin house in two years. They add a beautiful perspective to my garden, and they are both elegant and durable. So sorry to hear this as the description does state it is two 5 ft. posts. There is a coupling (trim piece) which is meant to cover the seam. Please let us know if you have this piece or if it might be missing?
